1. What you bought
42CodeLens Premium is a one-time purchase of $15 USD that gives one personal account lifetime access to the Premium material. It is a digital product, delivered immediately to your account — there is no shipment and nothing to return.
2. Who sold it to you
Purchases are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for 42CodeLens. That means your transaction is with Paddle, and Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy apply to it alongside this page.
We summarise that relationship here rather than reproducing Paddle's policy. Where this page and Paddle's policy differ on a matter Paddle governs, Paddle's policy is the authoritative one.
3. Our own position on refunds
42CodeLens does not offer a separate voluntary refund scheme of its own. Premium is a digital product that is delivered and activated on your account the moment payment is confirmed, so we do not give refunds simply because:
- you changed your mind after the purchase was delivered;
- you stopped using Premium, or used less of it than you expected;
- you bought it and then decided you did not need it.
That is our commercial position, and it is not the whole story — the two paragraphs below are what actually decide any given case.
4. Who actually decides a refund
Refund eligibility is determined by Paddle's applicable Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, and by the mandatory consumer rights of the country you live in. Paddle is the Merchant of Record, and it may issue a refund where its own terms, payment network rules, applicable law, or its handling of an error or a fraudulent transaction call for one. Nothing on this page prevents Paddle from doing that, and nothing here is a waiver of a right you cannot lawfully waive.
Many countries give consumers a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within a set period. Where that right applies to you, it applies here, whatever our commercial position says.
5. How to raise a refund or a payment problem
- Through Paddle. Use Paddle's buyer support, which can locate your transaction from the email address you paid with and the receipt Paddle sent you.
- Through us. Write to support@42codelens.com with the email address you used at checkout. We will deal with it directly or raise it with Paddle on your behalf.
If something is genuinely wrong — you were charged twice, the purchase never unlocked, or Premium is not working — tell us and we will fix it. Please come to us or to Paddle before raising a chargeback with your bank: a dispute takes far longer to resolve for you than an email does, and most of what people open disputes over is something we can simply put right.
6. What happens to your access
- A full refund ends Premium access. When a full refund is approved and processed, the entitlement on your account is revoked automatically and Premium material closes again. Your account itself, and everything that is free, stay exactly as they were.
- A partial refund does not end access. If only part of the purchase is returned — a goodwill adjustment, for example — your Premium access continues. We do not take away a licence you still substantially paid for.
- A reversed chargeback restores access. If a dispute is resolved in favour of the sale after access was removed, the entitlement is restored automatically.
7. Timing
Once Paddle approves a refund, the money is returned to the payment method you used. How quickly it appears is decided by Paddle and by your bank or card issuer, not by us, so we do not promise a number of days we do not control.
8. Duplicate purchases
A single account cannot buy Premium twice — the server refuses a second checkout for an account that already has it. If you believe you have nevertheless been charged twice, write to support@42codelens.com and we will get it refunded.
